    Course objectives: This course is aimed to focus on the followings: - Knowledge: To introduce the student to basic concepts and principles of animal science and their application in animal agriculture; terminology used in animal science as it relates to the industry, management practices, equipment, and animals; animal species and breeds and their relative importance from economic and social perspectives; animal genetics and breeding, reproduction, nutrition and feeding as well as animal welfare and health; current management practices as it relates to raising the common farm animal species, viz. cattle, swine and poultry. - Skills: To train students to know how to work independently and in a team, to develop problem-solving; to analyze, plan, and organize tasks efficiently. - Attitude and responsibility: To form activation, creation, responsibility in the study; to respect the animal producers, consumers, livestock environment, and animals; to form, manifest, and maintain the willingness to continue to foster professional and interdisciplinary knowledge throughout careers.
