* Course objectives:

- The course provides knowledge about helping students memorize, understand and apply the listening strategies to understand different types of listening texts, eg. long talks, lively

conversations between native speakers, debates or announcements through mass media. Students can memorize vocabulary about people and daily life habits; Food & Beverage; travel and festival customs; entertainment, education and occupation, health and sports; environment and weather; science and technology, communication; shopping and fad. In terms of academic skills, it is to equip students with skills to listen to long talks on complex and abstract topics even if the speech structure is unclear and the relationships between ideas are not clear; Students can understand lively conversations between native speakers; Being able to follow and hear abstract arguments or reasoning; They can obtain the information they need when listening to announcements through mass media. In terms of self-control and responsibility, the module aims to help students consciously learn English and actively find materials of their level (B2 –FCE- Cambridge English First) for listening practice to improve their listening skills.

- The course trains the skills in  level English listening skills (B2-FCE). 

- The course forms the attitude of self-studying, doing research and exploiting materials related to the topics of interest.
