* Course objectives:

- The course provide knowledge about the theory and strategies  about skimming through the main information in the lesson, reading quickly to get detailed information, answering comprehension questions, guessing the meanings of words from contexts, logical reasoning, using English - Vietnamese idioms, getting used to the types of readings written in journalistic style. Moreover, they are provided with the vocabulary related to All about me !, Winning and losing, Let’s shop! , Relax! , Extreme diets , My home , Wild at heart, We’re off!. In terms of autonomy and responsibility, students consciously study materials of B1- Preliminary level reading books (PET) to improve their reading skills.

- The course trains the reading skills based on the format of PET (Preliminary level) at B1 level

- The course forms the attitude towards students' self-study capacity, research and exploiting materials related to the lesson topics.
